A good and wise decision on our part to travel to Cavite on the morning of 24th December paid off, avoiding our fear of the dreaded traffic 23rd December at the highways of Pangasinan to as far as Tarlac that can only really spoil our trip.
Arriving Kawit around 6 pm , with Jarri/Jocelle and their kids Jirro / Jillian e immediately proceeded to catch up with the yearly float parade ( called Yearly Carosa by the Cavitenos) ..we ended up in a dead end closed very narrow street full of people, only to find out the float parade is only a few meters from Emie's Family Home, without wasting more precious time we walked our way to the very start of the float (Adan at Ebba) which was just about after the bridge , a few meters away from the Aguinaldo Shrine. This was my first time to spend the Christmas holidays at Cavite, the atmosphere being a lot different from the cold night , pine tree scent, mood at my hometown Baguio City that i was accustomed of.
I would not mind spending 2011 Christmas eve watching the yearly carosa, but certainly will make sure to arrive earlier, thanks to my wife. (",)
